Tuesday, April 9, 2002 * Molly's bad fur day... Molly is our female tortie (cat). She has been acting a bit 'stressed' lately. Maybe because I've been gone for a week and Rose has been taking over the house-hold. Rose follows DH around like a puppy dog and has taken to sleeping on our bed... something the other cats do, but Rose has never attempted it. Now - she has... and Molly doesn't like it. Today Rose was sitting in the den windowseat when Molly strolled into the room. Rose (who tends to make mad running bursts every now and then for no apparent reason) shot off the windowseat and headed straight in Molly's direction at full speed. Molly froze in position and hissed quite audibly as Rose lept straight into the air over her to avoid a collision, continued running past her into the front room, stopped suddenly and turned and looked at Molly, like "what???!" It was kind of funny. Teela is a bit pissed off with me too. But she gets that way when I leave for a bit and then turn up again. It's her way of letting me know that she doesn't like it. And Thibbadeaux, now he's just so happy that I'm back... he doesn't have all those female problems. Told DH that Molly is just having a little PMS. She'll be OK. He insists that she's having a "bad fur day" - and she HAS been "puffed up" a lot lately. Have caught up to April 5th in my email and journal reading. Hope to get back on track by tomorrow. Rian |
