Sunday, August 18, 2002 * back from Maine! Just returned from 10 days of driving along the Maine Coast. It was really nice. Warmer than expected, but still comfortable - and the nights were always cool. DH and I flew into Boston and spent a day and a half exploring the area around the Boston Harbor. Did visit 'the Constitution' over in the Shipyard in Charlestown. Took a water taxi across the harbor and then walked the North End and Boston Commons... Had some delicious salmon and also some fantastic Italian food and expresso! Then rented a car and started out to explore the Maine coast... Sorry that I've missed journaling - I actually did continue - in my written journal. But 10 days away from the computer means returning to a ton of email and missed journal entries and readings. Now I have to catch up. But it was a great trip and hopefully in the next few days I will be able to share some of the interesting things we saw or learned along the way. Until tomorrow... Rian |
