Friday, August 23, 2002 * Damariscotta and Camden
Damariscotta - view taken from our B&B on the River Road
This is a really nice little town. Next picture is one of window boxes in Camden - also picturesque, but a bit more touristy. You can see 'me' in the reflection taking the photo...
The flowers were so pretty everywhere - especially for 'August'. In Texas by this time the heat has burnt everything (altho I have to admit, this summer has not been so bad).
Hope I haven't confused you - jumping around like I've done. Didn't follow our itinerary - just talked about the places as I thought about them. Thank god my photos are dated. Some of the rocks and harbor pictures can get confusing. But I just check the dates with my written journal to see where we were that day.
We ate seafood most everywhere. It was always good, but expensive. We had salmon, haddock, pollock (sp?), lobster, etc. Seems like it shouldn't be expensive when its so abundant, but then again it's the height of the tourist season...
Think maybe I'd like to go back next time in the Fall and see the color changes.

Until tomorrow. Rian
