Saturday, February 23, 2002 * the infamous Pecan Delight egg...
Heaven help me. I'm trying to diet, eat well on a basically macrobiotic diet, get through Lent, and what does DH do, but bring home a whole bag of Russell Stover Pecan Delight Easter Eggs!
These things are my nemesis... and he knows it. I think he's trying to sabotage my intentions. Told him to make sure he hides them well so I can't find them. His comment:
"Just don't look for them..."
"Yeh, right. I can't promise that on a low day that I won't look for them."
Even thought they aren't dark chocolate, they are a wonderful combination of good chocolate with caramel and pecans... and are probably the only "Easter Egg" that I find hard to ignore.
Let's change subjects here. The 2002 cleanup and re-organization is still in progress. Deadline for first segment of plan is this Thursday.
By then the room, desk, and accompanying shelves will all be uncluttered and straight. The second phase will take care of re-organizing and boxing of files for 2001 - and I'll probably give myself until Easter to get this done.
Nothing else of any significance that I can think about or care to bring up here. I thoroughly enjoyed the Olympic ice skakers and dancers. Oh, to be able to move like that. It would be almost as wonderful as being able to sing... (always thought that people who had teriffic singing voices were so blessed. I can barely carry a note.) But you know, it's wonderful to be able to watch/listen too. Some don't even have the ability to do that. This way we can share their joy.
Well, the weather is so nice out today that maybe I'll go wondering a bit with my camera. Wish I could get a picture of the raccoons that come up at night from the creek to eat. They are so good looking (must be all that high protein dog food that DH feeds them). Really handsome animals - huge with thick shiny coats! They wash up in the water bowl, sometimes just their hands and faces, sometimes they step inside the bowl and bathe, then they eat at the food bowls and watch us watching them through the french doors, then go on their way.
Have a good one.
