* epiphany?

Had an epiphany today.  Not really sure if that's the right word.  Something happened that I didn't realize I would enjoy so much.

Nothing terribly important, but wonderful just the same.  DH and I went to the Dallas Symphony this afternoon and Art Garfunkel was the featured vocalist.

Now I'm at the age where Simon and Garfunkel were "in" when we were in college... ("Mrs. Robinson" and "The Sound of Silence", etc. ) But I've never been one to feel the need to meet the singers (no, not even Elvis - and I WAS a big fan) or hear them sing in person.

WELL... let me tell you how much I enjoyed seeing and hearing Art Garfunkel! He was great.  It was nostalgic, and I do love "The Sound of Silence" and "Bridge over Troubled Waters"...  I guess it was a combination of the man himself, the way he conducted himself, and the songs he sang.  But I have to say that it's been a long time since I've enjoyed something so much.

Going to leave it at this for tonight as I just got home yesterday from a week in San Antonio and I'm still not unpacked.  Have a lot to say, but will save it for tomorrow.

Hope you all had a good week and weekend! Am still trying to catch up on my email and a week's worth of journal reading...
