* Thursday Three?

OK, there's nothing on my mind to write about.  Just finished having a wonderful Italian dinner (Manicotti) with fresh hot Parmesan bread spread with herb garlic butter.  After I had black coffee and New York styled  cheesecake with raspberry sauce.  To be completely honest, the 3 of us
shared
the cheesecake - but it was scrumptious.

Tomorrow daughter and grandbaby arrive.  Have spent the day changing the linens and washing all the baby stuff with Dreft (baby detergent).  Can't wait to see Baby B.  She'll be 9 months old tomorrow and just went for her checkup.  If I remember correctly, she' weighed in at 19 lbs. and is 30 inches tall. I think that's tall...

BTW, for some reason I went back and checked my July11, 2001 entry
and serendiptously it was about the night I dreamed of Baby B....  now she's 9 months old and so much a part of our lives.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now for the Thursday Three (who says it has to be the Friday Five?)
1. What is your earliest memory?
Sitting on the floor next to my high chair trying to balance my bottle on the rung...  knew it would fall and break (glass back then) but did it anyway. (Guessing I was maybe three.)
2. What is your fondest early memory?
Playing with tiny plastic cowboys and Indians... in the driveway on the side of the house...  the puddles from the rain had become streams and lakes and the horses had to cross... (maybe five?)
3. What is a sad, unhappy, or scared early memory?
Don't remember sad or unhappy, but do remember scared. My cousin was 3 years older than me.  We were playing hide and seek once and she locked me inside an old wooden cabinet in her house.  When I realized that I couldn't get out, I panicked. (Yes, probably the beginning of mild claustrophobia...)(between 6 and 8?)
~~~~~~~~~~

This isn't going well.  May have to give it up for the night.  Maybe I should read for a bit.  Shall it be Dalai Lama's "Open Heart" or "Simple Abundance" or one of the light mysteries, written by Sweetie Pie Brown (a cat - part of a cat and dog crime solving team that belongs to a postmistress in a smalltown)?

Think the cheesecake has done me in...
Goodnight.
