Monday, July 16, 2001 * back from the river... Picture opposite was taken from the hotel room where we stayed on the Riverwalk in San Antonio this past weekend. You can barely see the river in this photo, but it's just beyond the green hedge. I'll add a better shot of it later - or perhaps an album with 3 or 4 pics. It's a lovely spot to visit. Best to walk the river in the early morning or late evening as it really gets quite hot during the day. We sat on the balcony and watched the people walking by... |

All in all it was a nice quiet weekend... good food and nice serene scenery. Of course it can get quite boistrous on Friday and Saturday nights - with everything lit up, fireworks in the sky, and crowds of people ... But at this point, us old foggies are sitting on our balconies drinking our coffee and "watching"... Staying up past 10pm has ceased to be fun.
