* in retrospect...

Never say "uninteresting"....  as I did yesterday (third paragraph previous day's entry) because by 5PM it had definitely gotten interesting.

I had returned from my 2 mile walk (yes, I've slowed down from 3-5 miles to 2, but I'm working on building it back up).  Anyway, I had returned and was reading and dozing off  in the den where Mama was sitting and doing the same waiting for the 5 o'clock news.

Suddenly Mama calls out to me and says that she feels "really strange".  She was dizzy and nauseaus.  I got up and took her blood pressure which was 208/95 - and thought 'this isn't good'.

She then felt like she was going to be sick and in a short time felt that she might be having a stroke, so we called 911.

They came immediately and took her to the hospital.  Ran tests like EKG's , CatScans, etc.  No stroke, thank God.  Seems that the best they could come up with was a sudden "Inner Ear" attack (?) that messed up her equilibrium.  They sent her home about 9 or 10pm.

So she is resting today and feels much better.  Has some meds for the dizziness and nausea.

As for me, I could have done without all that adrenalin rush.  It's the first time I've ever called paramedics for anything.  Have to admit, I was impressed.  They were fast and efficient and very nice.

So today I will say this.  If the day stays quiet and uninteresting, I will be very thankful.  Absolutely no complaints.
