As you can see, I got my camera back today.
Met my friend for coffee at LaMadeleine's and picked up all the things I'd left in her 4-runner, which were my camera, sunglasses, and binoculars.. Spent a good part of the day going through the photos, enchancing some, saving some to disc, and sending the rest to photo albums.
I really like this one. It captured a good bit of the essence of the lake. But there are a few others that are interesting. I will either post them a little at a time on my journal - or - possibly to my website Photo Gallery: East Texas and Cypress Swamp. There's some great shots of water lilies in bloom - the lily pads cover most of the lake so that in some parts it's necessary for the boats to follow paths through the water.
There's one photo that has a mysterious white light in the middle of a tree that I know wasn't there when I shot the picture. Could be some technical problem - but I've never had one with this digital camera, and I'd prefer to think it was one of those "swamp gas" mysteries.
On a different note, I had to run over to the eye doctor's today. My right eye seems to hemmorhage ever so often. It happened a few months ago and he told me to let him know if it happened again. Well, it did. This time the whole lower portion of my right eye was filled with blood (not bloodshot, but solid blood).
I didn't want it to cover my whole eye - so I went in. Apparently it isn't something to worry about. Actually my regular doctor wasn't in, so I saw someone else and he put some drops in to constrict the blood vessels hoping to restrict the bleeding. Hasn't gotten any worse.
So many strange things have happened to me this past year, guess I'll add occasional eye hemmorhaging to the list.
Since it's almost 11pm and I'm sure that starring at this computer doesn't help my eye, I'm going to close for today. I had planned to see if there was any English Comedy on PBS tonight, but now I think I'll just go to bed.
Good Night and Happy TGIF!
