* a 'not so' short entry...

Due to technical problems, I have been unable to update lately.  Seems that Homestead has launched a new program with new updated elements and somehow I have lost old ones like my email and notify list functions.  Have sent notes to Customer Service about this, but to date haven't received a reply.

It will really bother me if the increase in rates caused me a decrease in available elements.  I believe I have more web space and different elements, but didn't expect to lose important ones.  Hopefully it is just a "glitch"  and will eventually streighten itself out...

Went to see the movie, "The Sum of All Fears".  Wasn't what I expected, but then not a lot is.  It was alright... unfortunately probably an accurate accessment of possible senarios.  If and when we are pulled into a nuclear war, more than likely it will be due to an undisclosed third party (probably Terrorists) pulling the strings and setting up major forces against each other.

My biggest concern is that this is probably already happening...  and unlike the movies, won't be so easily defused (as Hollywood does at the very last minute).

But then, what can we the people actually do about it?  As far as I can see, not a whole lot... at least not if it's gotten to the point where things are already in play.  Maybe be really "aware" of suspicious people or actions or maybe be a little more tolerant of the new security laws...  I don't know.

Guess it boils down to not being 'afraid' to live... even with the threat of Terrorist's attacks, Biological warfare, and Nuclear bombs hanging over our heads.  Kind of like the kids you see playing around the bombed out sites in war zones today.  They still play... despite living in the mist of chaos and danger.  They (sadly and to the world's dismay) have become used to it.

Not that this is a good thing... to become used to a hellish way of life... but at least they are coping with it, not hiding and trembling in fear of what the next day might bring.

~~~~~~~~~~~
This started out as a 'short entry' and I got carried away.  Well, I'm going to close now and get a few things done.
I will close with these words; despite the troubles we have, despite the wrongs that need righting, despite the dishonorable that live among us, I still feel that as a nation we are on the right track.  The majority of men want life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness - and equality for all men - and even though we have been around for 200 years,  the United States is still in it's infancy when compared to other nations.  But I think this infant is strong and will persevere.
Enough said.
