Wednesday, March 13, 2002 * another doctor down...
Today I visited the Specialist. He did his exam, ran his tests and pronounced me fit - for the most part. Going to run a few extra tests just to be safe - which is fine with me. He wants a catscan of my chest and a bone density. I can live with that.
It was 80 degrees today... and beautiful! The Bradford pear trees are totally encased in white blossoms. Waiting now for the Redbuds to give us those beautiful lavender blooms.
DH called while I was in the doctor's office to see if I wanted to meet him after for lunch. It was funny how it happened. We had just finished the exam and had walked out into the hall where the doctor was pressing the button to call the elevator so we could ride down to the Imagery Center when my phone (which was in the pocket of my jacket) started playing it's Dixie melody.
Everyone standing by the elevator looked at the doctor like... How'd you make the elevator do that? I was even stumped for a minute... until I realized it was my phone... with a
"Oh-my-gosh... that's me!"
Everyone laughed.
All in all a fitting ending for one of those days... Not that I'm overly concerned about these visits anymore. Sure there's always the undercurrent of fear at the possibilities out there, but you know, it takes too much energy to worry about it, so I've chosen not to... and most of the time this works.
So I'll bid you good-day and wish you all a happy tomorrow!
