Tuesday, October 8, 2002 * nightguard day...
Yesterday the dentist took a mold of my mouth. Today he fitted me with a 'nightguard' which I mistakenly thought meant wearing 'at night'. Now he tells me I'm supposed to wear it 'all the time' for the next week or longer so we can see how it does.
I asked if he meant all the time while I was 'home'. He said, no, 'all the time'.... that if I practice speaking with it in my mouth, I will get used to it and be able to speak normally - instead of like daffy duck (he didn't say the duck part).
The other problem is that having something in your mouth all the times makes you salivate. He says this too will stop in time. Right now I could probably irrigate the desert.
Anyway, that has been the last 2 days' business. Hopefully this 'nightguard' will alleviate the jaw pain due to grinding my teeth...
We shall see.
On another note, I re-watched "The Green Mile" today. I really like that movie - and I know it is a bit odd. But there's something about it...
It was chilly and damp here in Dallas so even though I don't usually watch TV or movies in the middle of the day, I did. It was pretty comfy to sit propped up in the trundle bed in the computer room covered in blankets and cats watching this movie and drinking coffee.
Nothing else I wanted or needed to say. So goodnight until good morrow!
Oh! I did do one other thing. I installed Norton Anti-virus on my computer. I had another one on previous to this, but decided that Norton was better.
