*  a dreary Godiva day...

It's overcast, dark... just plain dreary today.  I got up early (5am), fed Rose and Teela (since they were hanging around the kitchen), made myself a cup of tea and went back to bed to drink it and lay there
thinking...

By 6:30 I was up again, reading and  checking email, making the bed, unloading the dishwasher, paying bills, and all those other mundane chores.  Then I showered, dressed, took Mama to the the Senior Center for Bingo, ran to the mall to pick up a few things (including some Godiva chocolate - nothing cheers up a dreary day than Godiva chocolate!), and then off to meet DH for lunch.  I did stop on the way to pick up some coffee as I don't especially like the coffee where we were having lunch - I know, weird.

DH and I discussed the recipe that was in the morning paper for Kentucky Derby Pie - which is basically Pecan Pie with chuncks of dark chocolate and a little bourbon. It's really good stuff.  I told him that I "might" make it this afternoon.  We'll see...

We also discussed the Sniper.  Find it hard to believe that a man can shoot that many people on that many separate occasions and not be caught or leave some tell tale clues...  His luck will run out eventually, let's just hope it's soon.

Kentucky Derby Pie and the Sniper... strange bedfellows.

I'm looking over at the daybed here in the computer room.  Teela has sat herself down in an empty white box on the bed.  She isn't even curled up in it - just sitting there straight up looking at me like "Ta da!"  They are so funny...

I took some pictures this week of Molly playing on my bed in a pile of socks straight from the dryer.  She was tossing and turning and throwing them into the air... having a great time.  But she is so black and the comforter is denim - that you really can't see her.  I will post one,  look for her eyes.

Have a good one!
