Tuesday, September 4, 2001 * just the waiting left... Labor Day weekend has passed. The Baby Shower given for my daughter by her friends has passed. It was delightful. Great food and Good Company! Beautiful pink roses, balloons, etc! Got to hold (and pass around) a beautiful baby! Now, just weeks away until our baby is here...so there's just the waiting left... Sorry I haven't written in the early morning these last few days as planned. It just didn't work out. My computer room was "occupied" and too many things to get done. I probably should have left a note on my notify list - will do next time. Worked out hard yesterday - trying to make up for lost time. Now I'm really sore this morning. But it too will pass. It's raining so it makes the day both refreshed and melancholy... maybe a lazy day to spend putting things back in order and planning the next step. If all works out as planned, we will have about 4 weeks before birth. If she comes sooner, then we shall be prepared for that too. All will be well. This week they will deliver a queen bed set to put in an upstairs bedroom. We really need another bed in this house for when guests come. I set the baby crib up in the computer room which already has a daybed set in it. Now with a queen set upstairs and 3 sofas - it should be enough to sleep an extra 6 or 7 plus baby... which is not needed very often, but may be - on an occasional weekend. I really enjoy having guests on weekends. It's great fun. That's why I always thought running a B&B would be great. However, it would have to be open only on weekends, as after 3 days - I'm totally exhausted. Must be getting old. Well, enough for now. Maybe I'll sort through my pictures and find something interesting to post tomorrow. Right now I think I'll go sort the wash. Hope your long weekend was a good one! Rian |
